Product Strength: The Bushnell Monocular 2.5×42 works very well on AA batteries and provides a wide field of view. This monocular also has great optical power and includes a built in light sensor that helps in shutting it down in bright lights.
Product Weakness: This is Gen1 night vision device. Lens cover quality is questionable as of is made of rigid plastic.
Personal Comment: I found the Bushnell Night Vision 2.5×42 Monocular to be a great device at a reasonable price that anyone interested in night vision could afford. Also, because of its light weight it is very handy to use in different applications. I thought the cheap main lens cover would break because it does not look like it would hold up, but so far so good. Rubber protects it in many places so does not seem like it will be a problem. It is a good choice for playing Airsoft and I also enjoy using it to spot animals at night.
