Product Strength: Sturdy water proof construction. Provides a very sharp image from close in out to infinity. The effective angle of viewing is wide enough so viewing through the device is comfortable. The ocular lens is very helpful in adjusting to your eyesight. It has a very good night vision resolution which helps in giving good views of the surroundings.
Product Weakness: The front and rear lens have to be focused separately. Can’t be mounted to a tripod as is. Battery container compartment could be better designed.
Personal Comment: The Night Owl Explorer is a very rare combination of design and function, as well as usability. It’s compact design makes it very handy and comfortable to use. It is easily very helpful in viewing objects out on the water at night. Just as useful on land as I take it on all my camping and fishing trips. This is the coolest accessory for me that I have ever packed for a trip.
